I helped make ricotta, noodles, béchamel and Alfredo at Jen & Sean's. Yum to all.
I went by Wal-Mart on the way home and picked up some more foodstufs including onion, celery and carrots and even some fresh blueberries and strawberries for smoothies.
I washed the blueberries and strawberries, removed the strawberry stems, dried them a few minutes on paper towels and then put them in baggies in the freezer. Tomorrow I'll throw some in the blender with some orange juice and yogurt and see what happens.
It was pretty late after I wandered about the store, so I resisted the urge to start something relatively complex like rice pilaf. Instead I cooked another burger on the cooktop and managed to somehow get it dry yet pinkish on the inside. I'm guessing that means too much heat again, but I'm not sure and it is a tad frustrating. I never had the burner past the medium setting, but I think these new pans conduct heat much better than my old ones. Come to think of it I'm not sure I've done more than boil water on these burners since I've lived in this apartment, so maybe they're hotter than my Indianapolis stovetop
